The weather forecast for this day was warm and sunny with a light breeze. The actual weather was cloudy, a bit wet, and a cool breeze, a bit of a disappointment on what was expected. We had a couple hours in the morning when it was dry and we were able to get out onto the golf course to find a view.
Travel around the golf course was by buggy, an unexpected highlight for the day!
We set ourselves up on the edge of the golf course by the side of the River Fowey. This gave us a view down the valley and across to Restormel Castle.
Once the drizzle and rain came we retreated to the club bar for lunch, and then we continued to paint at one of the tables. There was a view over the golf course, even if somewhat restricted.
Regardless of the weather it was peaceful out on the golf course with only the golfers passing us as they went from one hole to the next. A number of the golfers initially thought we were fishing rather than painting. The only noise to disturb the peace were the trains that came through the middle of the golf course on the main line down to Penzance.
