Our visit to Tate St Ives was on a cold day, even though the sun was out most of the time. We had good views overlooking St Ives from the cafe at the top of the building. Two participants even braved the cold to sit outside and paint looking towards St Ives Head. The rest of us stayed indoors, mostly drawing what we could see through the windows.

One of the rules at Tate St Ives was that no painting was allowed within the galleries, and so the rest of the artwork is in pencil or coloured pencils. This meant that we were able to concentrate more on the form and shading of what we could see.
