Our visit to St Mawgan was spent in the Japanese Gardens, and it was our first experience of change over day. How with the tourists either leaving to go home, or arriving for their holiday, means that tourist attractions can be very quiet. I had expected having a number of people around the village and the gardens, and to my surprise it was quiet. There was so much to see in the gardens, and we stayed there all day. It was at the start of the hot weather, and it was good to be able to make use of the shade that the many trees gave. Unfortunately the azaleas were almost finished flowering, but we hope to return in the autumn when the acers will have their autumn colours. |
