This was our second visit to St Mawgan, and again we all went into the Japanese Garden to paint. The good weather we had over all the summer was beginning to break and a few showers were expected. Apart from a heavy shower over lunch the rest of the day was quite reasonable with long sunny periods.
Autumn was late this year because of the long warm summer we have had, which meant that many of the trees were still in leaf and green. The best colours came from the Japanese Maples that were dotted around the Garden.
