The Gallery for our visit to Godrevy in May is now available.

Rocks at Godrevy Point.
Waterwheel at Geevor Tin Mine.

The Paint Away Day venue for 14th June will be Wheal Martyn China Clay Country Park. There are quite a lot of different things available here as subjects including the largest working waterwheel in Cornwall, vintage vehicles and locomotive, nature trails and woodland walks. Something for everybody.

We shall be based in the conference centre at Wheal Martyn.

The exhibition was delayed by a week, but finally went up on the 21st May, and I anticipate it will continue until the 18th June. All those who supplied pictures, I can return them at the next Paint Away Day you attend, or arrangements can be made to pick them up.

There was a write up in the Newquay Voice newspaper.

After a discussion with some of the participants we have decided to combine the July and August Paint Away Days to just one Saturday at the end of July or the beginning of August.

I am hoping that we can go to the small fishing village of Portloe, on the Roseland Peninsula. We have chosen Portloe because it is fairly central and can be reached without having to travel too far on the major roads. We have not been there for two years, but it is one of my favourite villages in Cornwall.

Once the details have been finalised I will let you know. In the mean time the Gallery has pictures from our previous visits on 25th May 2006, and 27th May 2006

Costs for each Paint Away Day are detailed for each venue on the information for the location page. See General Information for guidance to costs.
