Newsletter 7 - July 2007

July 14th 2007 we shall be visiting the Potager Garden near Constantine (click on the aerial image). This is a former nursery garden that is being rescued from it's recent overgrown state to reveal an orchard and many mature trees. Part of the garden is already landscaped and includes paved areas and a large greenhouse with mature plants.

We shall have the site to ourselves for the day, as it is only open to the public on Sundays.

Directions are now available for those who have booked to go.

Fishing boats at Portloe.

11th August we will be visiting Charlestown harbour. This is the base for Square Sail Ships, and on the 11th August one of the ships will arrive back from a voyage around 6.30 - 8pm. As it would be a shame to miss this opportunity our times will be different. We shall meet from 2.30pm till 8pm, and as there are pubs offering bar snacks it will be possible to have a meal there.

The harbour should be fairly quiet as it is "change over day".

The gallery for our visit to St Mawgan in June is now available on the website.

We apologise to the artists but there was a technical difficulty producing the images. If you would like to bring back the paintings on your next Paint Away Day further photographs will be taken to replace the ones currently on the website.
